High Voltage Transformer Project...

Post by Howard »

good afternoon...

the "line side junction box" that "winced36" posted... http://bigindoortrains.com/forums/viewt ... p=521#p521 ...reminded me of a small, quick and easy project i made several years ago...it's also from simple materials...scraps, actually...

it's just two burned out fluorescent lamp starters, two pieces of wood with holes to fit the starters and four "eyes" twisted from wire...and held together with epoxy cement...i also made a simple pallet from popsicle sticks and craft wood...i really should add a caution sign like "winced36 did...

i could see this transformer mounted on the side of a building...or inside the fence of a small power station...

my very best regards...howard...

That is very cool and a great idea Howard. I've been thinking about making a track-side electrical transfer station and this gets my wheels turning. Thanks for the inspiration.
